The Trevor Project | 866-488-7386                                                                         The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.

Everyone is Gay | “Everyone Is Gay works to improve the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) youth using a three-pronged approach: providing honest advice to these youth while keeping them laughing; talking to students in an effort to create caring, compassionate school environments; and working with families & educators of LGBTQIA kids to help foster an ongoing dialogue and deeper understanding.”

The Trans Youth Equality Foundation (TYEF) | The Trans Youth Equality Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) non profit foundation that advocates for transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex youth ages 2–18.

Trans Student Educational Resources (TSER) | Trans Student Educational Resources is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender nonconforming students through advocacy and empowerment.

Gender Spectrum | “Gender Spectrum helps to create gender sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens.”

The Gender Book | “An illustrated book- similar to educational children’s books- with no age limit. All hand-drawn graphics and lots of color. It’s about 90 pages long, and will be readable in one sitting.”

Sydney Borum Jr. Health Center | Boston, MA: Otherwise known as “The Borum,” the Sydney Borum Jr. Health Center is a program of Fenway Health that provides safe, non-judgmental care for young LGBTQIA people, ages 12–29.

Project REACH | New York, NY                                                                           “Project Reach is a youth and adult collaboration: a multiracial, multi-gender, grassroots, anti-discrimination, youth organizing center with a clear mission and commitment to challenging the destruction among, of, and between New York City’s disparate youth communities. Implicit in that mission is a vision that recognizes that the empowerment of disenfranchised youth communities is critical and integral to their participation as future leaders in the larger movement for social justice.”

Silver Lining Mentoring | Boston, MA                                                                      “Armed with this knowledge and the belief that all youth deserve supportive mentors, Silver Lining launched the LGBTQ mentoring initiative in 2012, which seeks to empower LGBTQ youth to develop a positive sense of self and belonging by providing committed, community-based mentoring relationships with LGBTQ-identified adult mentors. Our LGBTQ Mentoring Initiative follows the same guiding principles and policies as the Mentors program, except that it focuses exclusively on matching LGBTQ youth, with a LGBTQ or ally-identified adult.”
